Marquette, MI – October 14, 2022 – MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY SCHEDULES OPEN HOUSES TO PRESENT PROJECT PRIORITY PLAN
The DDA has been developing a project priority plan over the past several years in an effort to improve various aspects of the DDA including non-motorized transportation and connectivity, US 41 corridor aesthetics and other features that solidify the Township as a great place to live, work and play.
The project priority plan was finalized at a meeting in September of 2022 and the DDA has since scheduled a series of Open Houses, all scheduled for October 20, 2022 at 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The Open Houses will be held in the Marquette Township Community Room at 1000 Commerce Drive. Light refreshments will be served.
These Open Houses are intended to share the priority projects with property owners within the DDA. In addition, options for generating revenue to complete these projects will be discussed, including the levy of up to 2 mils on DDA parcels to be used as a stand-alone funding mechanism, or as a local match for any grant opportunities that may become available.
