The After-Glow Party Was A Huge Community Success

This past Saturday, Great Lakes Radio, Marquette Charter Township, and Applebee’s hosted an after the convention party. Even after the Model A Ford Club of American convention left town the festivities continued in a big way.
Over 150 classic cars were on display in the Applebee’s parking lot while their owners enjoyed a free meal from Applebee’s. Families got a chance to enjoy the cars and a meal as well.
Applebee’s area director, Mitch Ohman, spoke live on Sunny 101.9 Saturday and thanked everyone for coming and displaying their cars. Everyone thanked him for such a great meal! Township Supervisor Dennis Liimatta, was also there and did a live interview on Sunny 101.9. People across the U.P. heard it and drove in to have some fun!
The Sunny Morning Show with Walt and Mike talked with Marquette Township Community Events Chair LeAnne Kachmarsky, and Township Manager Randy Girard, during the previous weeks to get the word out to community members. And it worked, over 500 showed up to eat, win prizes, and watch the “Catch The Vision” car cruise around Presque Isle Park, which people lined up to see.
Great Lakes Radio, Marquette Charter Township and Applebee’s worked together to advertise the party on the radio and make the party a huge success in the community!
A special Thank you to:
Todd Noordyk, LeAnne Kachmarsky, Andy Kachmarsky, Julie Peterson, Steve Peterson, Diane Wright, Al Wright, Randy Girard, Dennis Liimatta, Mitch Ohman and Cliff Bourgeois!
