Marquette, MI  –  August 10, 2018  –  Honor Credit Union just wrapped up their 2018 Community Picnic. Each year, all three local branches, NegauneeMarquette, and Gwinn, turn on the grill and serve up hot dogs & brats for their communities! Whether you’re a member or not, there is always free food, chances to win prizes, and this year, Honor was raising money for the UPAWS Spay & Neuter Program.
Major Discount and Bruce Whitehead got a chance to chat with Negaunee Branch Manager, Shari Koski, to hear about today’s events and what’s next for Honor Credit Union. Shari is a very familiar face in Negaunee with 16 years at the Credit Union.  To give the community the best chance of getting their questions answered, CEO Ron Lauren, Market Manager Jenn Beckman, and Mortgage & Loan Expert Adam Carpenter were also on site for the Community Picnic.
After inviting the community to come out to Honor, Shari took a moment to highlight Honor’s next event, Shred Day! Honor Credit Union’s Annual Shred Day is coming up Saturday, September 22nd in Negaunee. As usual, the branch will be recycling personal paper documents that you would usually shred at home, but this year they’ve introduced something new as well. Partnering with Goodwill and Comprenew this year, Honor will also be accepting electronics for recycling, so bring your old CD players, iPods, or gaming consoles too!
They did a great job grilling up these brats & hot dogs.
