Marquette Township, MI – 08/4/2019 – Beautiful weather plus great music equals another successful Community Day for Marquette! The Marquette Charter Township put on another great event to give back to the community of Marquette. Yesterday morning at 10, the event was kicked off with Good Time Oldies in the Park, courtesy of Marquette’s GTO.fm 97.5. About an hour later was when SuperOne had their food set up, with everyone’s favorites including brats burgers and pop! Kids inflatables, courtesy of Double Trouble, were up and jumping! Our friends at the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department were out giving patrol vehicle tours and search and rescue demonstrations, along with a fire truck display!
The lawn chairs were set up around the stage to listen to the awesome live music. at 1, The Crunge got the live music kicked off with our favorite rock and country hits. After that, the Flat Broke Blues Band jumped in and played . Then the Ramblers took over for the rest of the night!
Another favorite of Community Day was the softball tournament going on all day. Team Sunny vs. Marquette Township started things off, followed by the teams Popp’s Builders, Glenn’s Smoke House, EZ Stop, and Park Chiropractic. Everyone on the field had a great time and the crowd loved watching and cheering on their friends and loved ones.
Community Day was fantastic and all ages had a blast!
