Marquette Township – The Marquette Township Business Association supports the Catch the Vision Township events each year, and this year the Events Committee added a new event: a 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament. The tournament was originally scheduled during the winter to celebrate the completion of the new ice rink at Lions Field, but the U.P. weather had other plans and the rink melted before the tournament could take place.
Click the left side of the box below to hear Township Manager Randy Girard and Township Supervisor Dennis Liimatta talk about the event.
The 3 on 3 Hockey Tournament is the first Catch the Vision event of the summer and takes place this Saturday, July 20th, starting at 8:45 am. Up to 16 teams will play on the new rink at Lions Field in this Street Style tournament. Registration for the event is free, thanks to Honor Credit Union and Eagle Mine who paid the registration fees for all teams.
If you’re interested in registering for this event, you can sign up at Synergy Fitness on the corner of Third and Bluff Streets, or register by phone at 228-7600. All ages are welcome and will be paired with similar ages. Bring your family to Lions Field on Saturday and celebrate the completion of the warming shack at the new rink.
