February 13, 2025 – Marquette – Possible Frozen/Failed Low Pressure Sanitary Sewer
Residents on Fair Avenue to the west of Cox Avenue (2500 and 2600 blocks) and one block north and south of Fair Avenue on Vandenboom should be aware that the low pressure sanitary sewer on Fair Avenue between Vandenboom and Cox has frozen or failed, causing problems for grinder station discharges.
Township DPW staff has scheduled a repair of the sewer, but that will not occur until early next week due to scheduling of contractors.
In the meantime, grinder pumps have been removed and DPW staff will be manually pumping those grinder stations out on a frequent basis (2-3 times per day). If you are an impacted home, you will have a new access plowed into the grinder station location in your yard. This allows DPW access to pump the grinder stations. We apologize for this inconvenience.
