June 6, 2012 – Marquette Township – The cost of water to your business and home in the Marquette area could take a big jump.
The Marquette Township Board will meet with the Marquette City Commission on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the Citizens Forum Room at the Lakeview Arena.
Special Meeting discussion will be the possible 5-7% increase in water rates from the city. This would be a good time to express your concerns.
This is part of a review that takes place every three years by an independent party to evaluate the utility rate structure.
The evaluation is a result of a legal decision a few years ago when the city threatened to stop supplying water to the township.
