Over 100 area business professionals attended the open house.
The all new four million dollar Marquette Township fire-hall and township hall and community center building project has been built with the future in mind. This one year process happened with precision and no new tax dollars.
Dennis Liimatta Township Supervisor set the stage for the evening to be upbeat and positive by reflecting on the recent continued growth of the township.

Jason McCarthy, Planner & Zoning Administrator
, spoke of how the new technology and layout of the buildings creates optimal flow and productivity.
Bromley Hall, Hall Contracting, was in charge of the fire hall project.   Lynn Swadley of Sunrise Builders/Swadley Development LLC   tackled the township offices, board room and community center.  Both of the master builders and developers spoke about the swiftness and efficiency of the project.  Both Lynn Swadley and Bromley Hall commented about the competitive but courteous experience they had completing their respective projects in record time. Both stood before us in the community room, and both were in awe of how much was accomplished in one short year.
Marquette Township Business Association Chairman Frank Stabile spoke about how efficiently the township is running and how pro-business it has become; including a happier, more friendly and helpful attitude even when one walks through the township office doors.
The final speaker of the evening was Todd Noordyk, a member of the township’s Community Events Committee and a board member for the township’s business association. Todd Noordyk thanked Julie Peterson and LeAnne Kachmarsky, event committee members, for planning this event and for helping create several events celebrating the township.  Noordyk showed how web activity and page views are also up for the MTBA site, including 1.4 million page  views each month among his Great Lakes Radio sites which includes 33,000 to 36,000 page views a month for the township business association site at www.marquettetownship.biz.
Delicious food was provided by Frank Stabile’s team from Hudson’s and Perkins and Oasis Catering. The Marquette Township Business Association board was also present registering new members to the association.  Business cards were dropped in a box and our dinner-for-two winner was  Chris Potter of OPG (Office Planning Group).
