I am happy to write a note in support of the Marquette Township Business Association because I feel the concept of “All for One, and One for All” plays out in an active local business association. Marquette Township has earned the reputation of being the fastest growing township in the State of Michigan and I own one of those local township businesses that is doing very well. For me, it only makes sense to support an active business association. I go on the MTBA website www.marquettetownship.biz and see that Township officials attend all of the MTBA monthly meetings. They hear of our local business concerns and MTBA provides an invaluable conduit back to the Township board and staff on what’s important to us. I also attend the monthly MTBA luncheon meetings to stay connected to what’s happening and hear new local business concerns.

We moved our business into Marquette Township in October of 2011. Since then, we have found the Marquette Township Business Association to be a dynamic and positive part of the business community. One of our staff members, Jenn Wallner, is on the Board and brings constant feedback that demonstrates to us the MTBA’s support of local businesses and business issues as well as enthusiastic support for growth and development in this area. As the Planner & Zoning Administrator for Marquette Township, I believe that serving as a liaison between the Marquette Township Business Association and the Township Board is very beneficial.
